Kendra Gaede is a genealogist, writer and former journalist specializing in Canadian Prairie Genealogy and Immigration Records. She is Chair of the Manitoba Genealogical Society’s Research Committee and Winner of the Association of Professional Genealogists New Professional Scholarship, 2025. Kendra has a passion for Canadian history, research, archives, and historical photographs. Born in Alberta, she studied in Saskatchewan and lives and works in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Rates – Research
Starting at $50/hour CDN for a minimum of 5 hours of genealogical research and reporting ($250 CDN).
After discussing your genealogical goals, we sign a Research Agreement that protects us both and I get to work. Following professional guidelines and applying the Association of Professional Genealogists’ Code of Ethics to my work, I search, analyze and produce a written report detailing your ancestor’s genealogical footprint in Canada.
Please contact me with your research question(s) or goal and we can devise a research plan that suits your needs.
Keep in mind, every research project has unique difficulties that require project-specific strategies and results are not guaranteed.
